We had Kaya's check up today and when I asked about pumping and using bottles- I mentioned sterilizing them. Our pedi (the same we had with C) said there was no need, just use hot soapy water to clean them each time. HMMM, thats SO not what she said 3 years ago and I am sure things may have changed, but I was just wondering what advice yours gave pertaining to bottles?
On a good note K now weighs more than she did at birth- a whopping 8lbs 1oz... still a peanut in my book! But I am glad that the bf is working and she is getting enough- now if we could just improve her latch lol! ![]()
Re: What does/did your pedi say about sterilizing bottles?
I don't know how the pedi feels about sterilization. Never asked. I never sterilized anything. I just used warm tap water to make formula and made it as I needed it. Yep, I didn't even premake bottles. ::gasp::
They never said anything.
You can do whatever you feel comfortable with. I always sterilized but if I had a second, I'd probably just do it once and that's it.
Your family is just beautiful!!!
I don't sterilize anything really. Not even when I buy things usually! I have sterilized pacis that got lost under the bed for a few months, but not on a regular basis!
