Finally got the results from 2nd tri screening

I had my 2nd tri screening done on July 31 (this was the 2nd draw b/c the quad screen which was done, which wasn't supposed to be done came back 1:68 for DS) my high risk dr wanted me to get the 2nd screen done to get a more accurate read on numbers. The results came in yesterday 1:9305 for DS. What a swing. Guess it goes to show you those quad screens can be falso positive. I feel much better. Thnx for the support and advice - Kel

Great to hear! What a difference! I'm glad you had the re-test, because I now kinda wish we had that opportunity.

I also had a very high risk for DS .. 1:5. We only did first tri-bloodwork... nothing in the 2nd. But at the time, my doc said it wouldn't make a difference. (Giving her a raised eyebrow on that one).

But so far, everything is perfectly normal visually so we're optimistic. At my Level II U/S, baby was even measuring several days ahead. I've since read that if your conception date is even off just slightly, those bloodwork test results can be skewed by quite a bit.
