I run outside on the weekends. Not really "in" home, but it takes the same amount of time as working out at home since I start running once I'm out the door. I also have free weights and do some weight lifting. If I were to invest in home gym equipment, I would go with the treadmill. It's more versatile. If you're a bit tired that day you could walk but if you have the energy you could run. And I always feel I get a better work out on a treadmill than elliptical. You can also walk with weights and get a bit of a weight work out in with cardio.
We have a treadmill and a yoga ball that I (try) to use most weekday mornings before work. I walk and run on the treadmill, and use the yoga ball to do sit-ups on (way better than just doing crunches on the floor, since you have to use all of your core muscles to keep your balance).
On the mornings that I exercise, I try to get up 20 minutes or so early so I can work out before jumping in the shower.
I have Comcast Cable with On Demand.. they have 2 minute work outs thru 10minute workouts that i do... and omg do i feel the burn after a 2 minute work out!! They are an intense 2 minutes!! i normally to like four 2 minute work outs.. My mom laughed at me the first time i did them cause i nearly cryed lol!! It had been a while!
I normally run, bike, or do a workout DVD. We have some weights at home... DH mostly uses them, but I use them too on occasion. They are the kind that have one handle that you can "lock" into different weights, so they don't take up much space at all. (Compared to a bunch of dumbbells of different weights.) We also have an elliptical trainer, which I'm using a lot these days, because it's too hot here to run while pregnant and I'm no longer allowed to bike.

run outside, situps, push ups, i have heard great things about the 30 day shred but do not have it. cable has some workout shows. you can use canned goods for weights for arm exercises.
We have a treadmill (which I never use) and DH just bought me the Wii Fit 2 weeks ago. I've been using the WF and I have to say, it give a pretty good workout. It has strength training, aerobics, yoga and balance exercises.
I have the FIT TV channel through direct TV. They basically have work-out programs that run all day long. Cardio, yoga, weights, interval training, they even have a belly dancing class. I usually do Gilad bodies in motion, which comes on at 6:30pm. I did buy a set of handweights put that is all I needed. He does body sculpting and light weights for 30min. Then I do In shape with Sharon Mann (also a 30min class), which comes on at 12pm Sat. and Sun. Its mostly cardio or kick boxing.
