At my 28 week appointment, my doctor seemed a little surprised I was measuring ahead. I should really have asked how far ahead because I saw he was a little concerned but at the moment it slipped my mind. I had been measuring on track until then.
Today I went in for my next appointment to be measured and he said that was better after taking my measurements. I asked if I was back on track and he told me no, I was still a couple of weeks ahead.
Holy smokes- we must have caught the baby in one heck of a growth spurt if he's relieved I'm only a couple of weeks ahead now! I'm kind of glad I didn't ask for the number!
Re: Measuring ahead Update
Measurements can be off- each uterus grows at different rates and women carry differently. I wouldn't sweat it. My youngest daughter consistently measured 2 weeks ahead, even after changing her due date.
Ya, I measured ahead with my first too. At 28 weeks I measured for 32 weeks. It slowly caught up even though I gained 25 lbs in the last 10 weeks. DS was 8lbs, 6oz at birth. Not unusually large.
BTW, I have that same outfit. I'm wearing it in my profile pic too. Although it's hard to tell.
