TTC after 35

Mind if I join?

Hi everyone. I was referred to this site by a friend. I am glad to be here, but hopefully not for long, if you know what I mean Wink

So like all of you, I am TTCing, and over 35, by 5 years. My new # is just way too hard for me to type  Crying LOL

Anyhow, my husband and I are TTCing for a few years, but we had some events that made it a challenge to keep focus. But we have recently (as of July) started to take it seriously. We are 100% focused on having a baby, and are well aware of the risks involved, due to our age (he's 1 yr older than I am).

I recently read the book "taking charge of your fertility" and my only complaint is that I didn't know everything I do now 20 years ago! What a revelation! So I've been using FAM and charting for a month and half. I feel so empowered now that I am aware of what's going on with my body every month. But I feel like a sponge and want to keep learning!

So, that's my story. I look forward to chatting with you all... and LOT of BABY DUST TO EVERYONE! Smile

  • Welcome! I'll be 40 in November, myself.

I felt exactly as you describe when I read TCOYF. If I end up with a daughter, I'm going to be sure she knows all the stuff I wish I knew long ago...

  • I've been thinking of charting using FF, right now I have printed copies of an Excel spreadsheet template that a friend shared with me. But maybe it would be easier to maintain it all online.

I have also taken a look at some of the charts you ladies have posted. That's so great to be able to share that type of info!!

  • Joyful - I totally agree!!! I will do the same if I'm lucky to have a daughter.
  • Welcome and I hope your stay is very short!
