Does sidecar count?

Does a sidecar crib count as co-sleeping?  Not that it matters, I'm just curious if when we have a baby we can consider ourselves co-sleepers as we plan to sidecar...

Re: Does sidecar count?

  • Well, considering my "sidecar" is called the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper, I would say so! Co-sleeping is about having your baby within reach to be able to soothe and nurse. Just because your LO isn't physically on your mattress doesn't mean you aren't co-sleeping. You just aren't "bedsharing".

    This.

Co-sleeping = in the room with you

bedsharing = in bed with you.

  • Okie dokie, that's what I thought but figured I better ask
  • I always thought that co-sleeping was having your baby in the same bed as you, but it's not a contest. You should do what works best for your family.
