Re: munire

  • I got the Essex crib and dresser. I think it is great quality for a great price. It even cost less then the crib at BRU.

  • We have the Munire Urban crib and the combo dresser in white for Olivia.  It is really good quality, seems very solid and looks great.  I'd recommend the brand.

I don't know about the bru brand though.

  • We have the Urban in white, and honestly I am not very happy with the quality of it.  After having it for a little over a year, the paint has started to crackle on the dresser.  For how much we paid for the dresser and crib, I would have thought it would have lasted longer than my cheapTarget furniture.

  • I just recently went through this whole dilemma of what furniture to order.

Here's some advice. ?Don't get the Baby Cache line at BRU. ?It looks fabulous and I almost bought it myself, but I hated how easily it scratched when I ran my fingernails on it in the store. ?And I read that people gave it bad reviews for it's finish quality and scratching issues. ?It just seemed like for that price, it should have been more durable.

Ultimately, I ended up going with Ragazzi over Munire. ?I just liked the Ragazzi features better than Munire when I compared them in the store. ?And I got a better deal going with Ragazzi too. ?But it really just comes down to what you like better. ?I would do a lot of comparisons in store, it's what helped me the most. ?Check to see how easily your fingernails can scratch the wood, how smoothly the drawers glide, etc.?

  • We have ordered the Munire Urban set in espresso.  We haven't received it yet but the sample at the store was in pristine condition and the sales lady demonstrated that it was difficult to scratch (in the espresso finish at least).

  • We did order the Munire/Baby Cache at Toys R Us, it comes this week.  It got great reviews, and I figured anything we get will get scratched.  It was solid wood, no drop-down sides, really beautiful.  Ours is the Oak Lifetime Convertible Heritage Crib.  It gets a little costly with the rails/toddler guard.

  • My best friend has the munire urban in espresso.  Her baby is now 18 months old and she still loves her crib and dresser.  It looks brand new - and it's obviously in the midst of surviving a early stage toddler . . .

  • We bought the munire urban collection in espresso for our son back in 2007.  We love it!  When he was teething he definitely made some marks on the crib, but I'm sure that happens with any crib you will buy.

  • We ordered the Munire Majestic collection. We were told it would take 8-16 weeks for it to come in.

My best friend ordered a Munire crib and they got it in 8 weeks. They are thrilled with theirs.
