I know there are tons of questions on strollers all the time but I am so torn.
Please help me decide betweent the kolcraft contours and the phil and ted.
There is a $300 cost difference so that is where I am torn.
We dont use the stroller ALL THE TIME, just on weekends and once or twice during the week.
DH and I dont mind spending the money on a phil and ted as long as its worth it and for some reason I dont think its worth it. Both require a bit of work to take apart and put together.
Right now I use my chicco stroller for DS and let DD walk along side of me. It is OK if DH is around but when I am by myself I get nervous that she will run off.
So, help me decide please.

Re: Strollers: Help me decide
I didn't vote because I think you'd be better off with a sit-n-stand since your DD is already pretty good about walking next to the stroller.
I had the Graco Quattro Tour. While I got a lot of use out of it in the beginning, by the time my son was 2, he would ride in it less and less. I feel like I could have gotten more longevity out of something like the Joovy Caboose instead.
Just a thought ...
This. ??
Between the two options I'd go with the Kolcraft but only because I'd never want to own the P&T.?
I'm all for spending money on higher end strollers though because they are worth it.?
I disagree with pp... at your daughter's age I would def. buy a stroller where she can sit/lay and be strapped in. ?
I can't imagine either of my kids wanting to sit in the back or bottom of the phil and ted stroller. They wouldn't be able to see anything. We have the kolcraft and the boys love it.
Also I am not big on the sit and stands because when we go to the zoo its nice for both the boys to be able to take a nap something that can't easily happen if DS#1 is having to sit up .

exactly. Plus, she'll still nap in it occasionally.
I had the kolcraft for awhile and liked it. It was comfy for them and I loved that I could turn them towards me so I could see them. I'm actually wishing I hadn't sold it now.
If you don't mind spending the money, have you thought of something like a Baby Jogger City Mini? Small but enough for two kiddos to grow with.
There are also other strollers that have an extra seat attachement that can come off: Mutsy, Britax and Valco.?
I love my P&T, definitely worth the money for us. But I use my stroller almost every day.
The Kolcraft was way too enormous and bulky
DS 3.12.08
DD 7.11.09
DD 8.01.13
Mine was no where near ready for a sit n' stand and still would not be happy with one.
I have the P&T. it is compact and versatile and easy to used with full hands. Lots of great storage and can be a single in a second. I joned for the Kohlcraft until I saw it in person, it is heavy, cumbersome and a beast.
Both kids love the Jump Seat and I am not sure why anyone thinks you can't see anything in that seat clearly has not used one.
Plenty of space to see out and lots of cargo space under that! Honestly it is still me favorite baby purchase.
I was embarassed by the size of the other one, fo me I could not take that shopping for fear of pissing of the population in the store.
Which one? I had a GoGoBabyz Urban Advantage but it does not fit a 2nd child. Wonder if I missed something just as good but cheaper?
my kids fight over the back seat of the P&T. They love it! lol.. I love it b/c it's like pushing a single .. and is very handy in manhattan. I have seen the kolcraft in person and they do look huge. neat that they can be changed to so many configurations.. .but I have heard the complaint that children outgrown the seats quickly. double check in person.
my P&T was worth the money. I use it daily... walk the dog daily while pushing the kids in the P&T with one hand. it's such a smooth ride. I think airfilled tires with a swivel/lock front wheel is a necessity for a double. just makes pushing it so much smoother. most friends who made double recs suggested this as well. and they were right! lol. I like that if dd is in school and I don't have to worry about not having a single with me. it's both. I have fit my coat, dc's coats and my diaper bag in the basket while dd sat in the back seat... but it was tight. If you are a big shopper and need basket space, go for something else. If you just need a space for a diaper bag and a couple of sm-med bags, it will work. the canopy is my biggest complaint... but so far so good. the child in the rear seat is blocked really nicely by the front seat. the child in the front seat does not have much leg shade.
Personally, if I were not getting the P&T.... I would go for the Baby Jogger City Classic or the Bumbleride Indie Twin. I test drove a ton of doubles and those were my favs... my top 3. when I had them lined up next to each other, I picked the P&T. the kolcraft is very long... and after seeing a mom struggle with a long graco in the middle of FAO Schwarz, I was thrilled I never got a long tandem. I'd rather a side by side. But I have to say, I P&T is the smoothest ride... smoother than our single peg perego. love it. could rave all day about it. but do test drive. I think strollers are individual in fit.
good luck shopping.
