GBS?

Can anyone explain what Group B Strep is?  I have never heard about this, although I'm sure it's probably in one of the many books I have yet to look at...
DD conceived naturally in 2009.  TTC #2 since August 2010.  Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.

    It's just an infection some people have that would require IV antibiotics during labor.

    It is a basic germ- NOT DISEASE- that lives in the vajayjay...not everyone has it, but if you do they just give you antibiotic so the baby doesn't get it

    It is all the pregnancy books and online.

    Basically it is a bacteria that pregnant women can carry in their vags. Isn't harmful to the pregnant woman but can cause life threatening illness (such as meningitis) for the baby. Basically they test to see if you have it and give antiboitics during labour if you do.
