Pariet safe??

Hey everyone,

So we had our first appointment at 9 weeks yesterday and I explained to my doctor about my bad hearburn (which she had previously prescribed me medication for before I was pregnant) and she advised me to keep taking the pariet she had given me. However, at the pharmacy they gave me the generic version of pariet which is novo-rabeprazole sodium....(i've done my research. lol) Now im no expert like she is, but im still a little worried and apprehensive about taking the medication. Am I just being silly or should I get a second opinion??

If the doctor said to keep taking the medicine, then it is safe.

Depending on where you live, generics are not always required to be exactly the same as the brand. I would definitely check with the dr. before taking it.
