Allergies?

So all of a sudden, my ragweed allergy has hit full force.  Incredibly itchy eyes and sinus pain, along with lots of sneezing!  Fun times.

Called the OB and the nurse was a little uncertain... just gave me the standard, "No aspirin, no ibu, no alcohol" speil.   I asked specifically about nasal sprays like Flo-nase, Nasalcrom and other OTC treatments.  She thought they'd be okay.   Same with Visine Allergy drops.

So.. since she was pretty wishy washy.... I turn to you ladies!  Anyone get any more definitive advice?  I'm dying here!

There is one you can take. Maybe zyrtec? I don't remember, but if you check out safefetus.com or even kellymom.com, they should tell you which allergy med is safe during pregnancy.

I hope you get some relief!

My OB said no to all nasal sprays but she did okay Claratin and Claratin D.  Also on her approved list: Benadryl & Sudafed.  Not the best options, but better than complete suffering.  Good luck!!

I have pet allergies and some seasonal allergies - my OB office okayed Benadryl and Zyrtec (but not Zyrtec D).

I should have added, my OB's official list does say that Benedryl and Sudafed were fine.  They just make me completely loopy.

I don't suffer as badly as you do but, I have found a saline flush in the shower really helps clear my sinuses. Good luck! I hope you get some relief fast!

My Dr. said Zyrtec or Claritin as long as there is no decongestant.
