Unexpected trip to OB today

So I am just over 26 weeks and last night during one of my middle-of-the-night bathroom trips, I noticed I was spotting light pink.  I've had that happen previously, but it's been related to either having intercourse or straining.  This was not the case...when I woke up in the morning there was more, although a little darker, more brownish.  I called the OB and they said to come in.  The midwife checked the HB and did an internal (OUCH) and baby girl is just fine.  But she said my cervix - while it is fully intact - is very vascular.  She took a swap to make sure I don't have an infection or anything like that - could be I just have an extremely vascular cervix.  So - sigh of relief of course.  BUT - her parting instructions - no intercourse for a couple weeks.....and not just intercourse, but anything that would bring about an orgasm!  UGH!  Can you imagine when she's a grown woman, telling her not about some terrible labor or morning sickness that she inflicted on me - but that she made her Mama go without bow-chica-wow!!!

Seriously though, I'm just relieved she's okay!

I'm glad she's ok,but sorry about your, ahem, inconvenience. Good thing it's hot out - the cold showers won't feel so bad these days!

I am happy that everything is ok..Listen to the OB's orders, It stinks but it ill be worth it in th end....GL

Whew! Those unexpected trips to the OB can be so scary. Glad to hear your sweet girl is just fine.

Hi Carla- so glad everything is okay with you and LO! Spotting is scary! I just had it for the first time in my pregnancy two weeks ago (after a transvag ultrasound). Sooooooooooo happy you are okay
