Stella's final head ultrasound came back great--perfect little brain!
Also, her CO2 came back at 61 today (which is good for her) so they moved her from the high flow canula (1 liter at 28%) to the low flow (1/4 liter at 100%) and she is doing great!
And, the best news of all is she finally took an entire bottle (2 oz) without bradying!!!
We are so proud of her! She is so close to coming home that I can taste it!
She will be full term (40 weeks) on Friday so we are aiming for sometime the following week for her homecoming.
I feel like the luckiest girl in the world today.
Re: GREAT news!
Yay, that is wonderful news!
Congratulations! I really hope you get to take her home soon. You will be amazed at how wonderful life is at home with your baby versus being in the hospital with her. Yeah!
My baby came home 5 days after her due date. She was the biggest baby by far by that time and it was difficult still being there when much smaller preemies were off of oxygen and going home! My baby went home on oxygen. But, going home was the greatest day ever!
I wish you the best over the next week!
WOOHOO! Congratulations! This is excellent news!
BTW, this is exactly what Cameron did just two days before being discharged home at exactly 1/4litre of 100% oxygen last June. He was off the oxygen by the the first week of September. You are in the home stretch. Go Stella!
