I had to do an early one at 7 weeks. It's not that bad. Yes it tastes a little less than desirable and it gives you a huge sugar rush, but it's all over in a hour

Surprise BFP on "break cycle" 10/12/13. EDD 6/17/14.
MMC discovered 11/25/13 at 10 weeks. D&C 11/27/13.
Not really sure what horror stories come out of a glucose test. The only negatives I can come up with are 1. you end up throwing up after the drink (which is why you make sure you take the ENTIRE 5min to drink it), 2. you pass out after having your blood drawn, and/or 3. you fail it (which you take a 3hr test if you do). None of these negatives really seems to be the end of the world IMO.
As for the test itself, bring something to keep you occupied for that hour if you are required to stay at the hospital/lab.
