I'm not a big coffee drinker and usually just prefer my daily cup of tea. In the summer though I sometimes crave a flavored iced cofee and the problem is that lately given the recent heat/humidity/afternoon sleepiness I noticed I'm up to 3-4 medium iced coffees a week (not more than 1/day). I tried googling caffeine content in dunkin donuts and honeydew coffees but not a lot of luck, I do know they're less than starbucks. I'm fine with some caffeine in moderation and figure half the cup is ice and skim milk anyway, but just curious if any regular coffee drinkers know if to stay under the recommended amounts should I be switching to a small or asking for a 1/2 decaf? Tx!
Re: Question for iced coffee drinkers
It's fine. Enjoy your iced coffee! I'm sure on some days I exceed the "maximum" caffeine intake and all is well here.
I always get a small iced coffee from Tim Horton's about 1-2 times a week and sometimes a mug of iced coffee from the cafeteria at work. As long as you have just one caffeinated drink a day, it should be fine. Some days I have a few gulps of DH's cola.
Thanks...this conversation is making me want to get that .25 cent mug of ice coffee down in the cafeteria. LOL. ::looking in purse for change::

I usually have 3-4 16oz. starbucks iced mochas a week. I just get them decaf, single, with half the chocolate. On occasion I'll have a cup of regualr coffee at work if I'm really struggling to stay awake at 3am. I work in L&D and most of the nurses here say a cup or two a day of a caffinated beverage is fine.
If your worried about it ask your Dr's office, because every dr. has a different opinion about it.
I've been getting iced coffees from starbucks almost daily. I ask for extra milk and between the milk and all of the ice they put in I think it's fine.
Starbucks iced coffee is a lot cheaper than an iced latte but they don't have a decaf version of the iced coffee. But a decaff (or half caff) iced vanilla latte is very tasty!
Starbucks has a decaf iced espresso. I know because I had asked for a decaf iced coffee and they said they didn't brew that but did brew the decaf iced espresso. It tasted very strong if that's your kind of thing.
Enjoying my .25 cent iced coffee now!

I order a tall iced coffee with milk and vanilla at Starbucks--their website says it's about 90 mg of caffeine.
If I get one, it's usually my only caffeine drink of the day, and I don't worry about it at all (try to stay under 200mg/day). Much less caffeine than their regular coffee, and about the same as their lattes. You can get it decaf btw, but I don't think 90 mg is anything to worry about.
When I get caffeine at Starbucks, I always get a small. I only get caffeinated when I'm desparate, otherwise I'm getting decaf. The taste is the same, and it satisfies the craving. I'm not as good at avoiding caffeinated soda, but I don't have a lot in a day, and not every day.
This has a lot of different drink's caffeine levels- it only has brewed coffee for Dunkin' though.
