not as bad as the first 2 I had, so I'm sticking it out at home...taking my vicodin as recommended. gotta work in the morning so I hope I'm better by then...
oh yeah, it definitely is. that's why I'm on the computer trying to distract myself until the vicodin kicks in. morphine does the job best, but I don't want a 3rd hospital visit in less than 2 months.
I have a couple of coworkers who've had gallbladder attacks and from what they've told me I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Is yours pregnancy-related? I hope your vicodin kicks in soon!
yeah, I didnt have issues until I got preggo, now I'm full of gall stones and the doctor said changes in hormones during pregnancy can cause it. once the baby is born I can have my gall bladder removed and won't ever have to worry about it again!
I'm so sorry. I've passed 7 kidney stones this pregnancy ( TWO today) and all but one I've stuck out at home. IT is so hard and I completely understand what you are going through. Hang in there.
Im sooooo happy your dr gave you vicodin! They never gave me anything. I was told to go to the hospital for morphine every time I had an attack... I got my gallbladder removed 3 weeks postpartum, it made such a difference. I hope you find relief soon.
I have been having this too. I had one attack and was found to have gall stones. My doctor put me on a stick NO fat diet. It is horrible, but better than going through the attacks. Have you been doing the diet? My doctor also threatened to put me on an IV for the rest of the pregnancy if I have more attacks. I have 11 weeks left, so this is obviously not something I want.
Re: having another gall bladder attack
I had gallstones when I was pg with DD.
Worst pain ever..... Even worse than labor!

yeah, my doctor told me to go on the low fat diet also and I've been doing well with it until I just had to give in to my pizza craving : oops
the vicodin doesn't help as well as morphine...even if you crush it up it still takes almost an hour to bring relief...but once it kicks in it helps
