I'm BFing, so that helps a lot. But I've also cut out dairy, and I feel like that has made a huge difference. No ice cream, butter, Mexican, Italian for me.
I know when I was dieting that eating breakfast each morning helped me a lot. And for some reason drinking milk seemed to help a lot too. Lots and lots of water. Kool aid has a sugar free version too that is yummy.
Wii Fit and Active Sports. lol. I realized I HAD to work out. I also followed a bunch of WW like eating loads of veggies. Watched out my intake of meat and cheese.
Since I BF, I didn't start anything major until about 6 months. I've lost all my weight and am smaller than I was at least a year before being preg. I also think snacking through the day helps. Since DS is mobile, I'm not able to sit down and eat. So I just grab a few bites of things here and there. It really does help me feel full through the day.
I really limit my carbs. I don't cut out carbs, but I try not to eat a lot of breads or cereals or pastas. I find that the more carbs I eat, the more I crave them. The more I eat fruits, veggies, and proteins...I stay fuller longer and I don't have the cravings.
I workout as often as possible. With DS, it's been hard. But before I had DS I worked out 6 days a week. The exercise helped with the weight, but it also made me feel so good that I wanted to eat healthy, too.
old fashioned calorie counting. The weight doesn't come off quickly, but it does slowly which I feel is way more important.
sparkpeople.com is really helpful!
Rethink favorite recipes and cut calories/fat. I Can't Believe it's not butter Spray is a super helpful. Instead of using an entire piece of cheese on my sandwich, I use half.
Oh, and I'm competing against my dh for professional pampering each month (think massage or a pedicure, etc... things you don't always do for yourself). That's really helpful because we're motivating each other.
Re: How are you or did you loose weight?
I can't help in the eating department cause I eat like crap, lol.
But I run 4 days a week, then do a work out video (normally strength training) 5-6 days a week.

Count calories to make sure that:
RMR (resting metabolic rate) + calories burned during exercise/day > calories consumed in a day
