Vacation to Cape Cod

We are going on vacation to the cape next week for the first time. Anyone have any suggestions on things we should do, places to see, etc? We are renting a house in Orleans but are willing to take day trips if need be. Thanks!

We're going to the Cape first week of September.  We love it there!  We always stay in Chatham, which I think is not far from Orleans.  I highly recommend making dinner reservations at the Impudent Oyster in Chatham.  AMAZING food!  We always make at least 2 reservations for our stay whenever we go.  It's also fun to drive up to Provincetown (at the tip of the cape).  There are tons of shops, and restaurants, and whatnot up there.  Truro Vineyards is along the way.  They have beautiful grounds and they do wine tastings too.
