how did you tell dh you were pregnant with next child?

we plan to ttc #2 in a few months and want to start thinking of a fun way to tell dh when I am pg again.  also how soon did you tell him, immediately after, that same day, a few days later etc?

with dd he knew I was testing and when it turned positive I went into the other room and asked what he was planning to do for the 4th of July (that was when dd was due according to mymonthlycycles.com) he said he didn't know and I said how about having a baby. 

with my first pg (which ended in m/c at 19 wks) I gave dh a onesie for his b-day because I got + test on that day.

I bought DS a shirt that says, "Big Brothers Rock" and plan to put that on him the day I get my BFP. Hopefully, I can keep my mouth shut long enough to do it. When I found out I was pregnant with DS, I just shoved the pee stick in his face at 5am. LOL

DS was not quite 6 months old when I found out, so I taped a sign that said "I'm going to be a big brother!" on his exersaucer (with him in it).  Then I took a picture with DS smiling.  I told DH that I took the cutest picture ever when he got home, and made him look at the camera right away

This.  LOL.  Poor DH.  I did the same thing when I found out I was PG with our first and then again this morning when I got my BFP!  I always think I am going to do something cute but then when it has happened I am too shocked to do anything but show him the test!

With our 2nd, I tested during the day and got a positive, but I had a work function that evening and so I did not see him until about 10pm that night. I came home and we were chatting and I said "Guess who I found out is going to be a dad again?" and he said "I dont know..Bill?" and I said "No - you!". The look on his face was priceless.

With this baby, we were not activley trying, and he knew I was PG before I did, he was the one who told me I better go buy a test.

Adam was a surprise to say the least. I had taken the test just to get the thought of pregnancy out of my head.  It was positive at like 6:45 am, so I called DH on his cell.  I said, "Are you sitting down?" He said he was driving and I told him that counted, and that I was pregnant, and to please not crash.  He was silent for awhile before he asked if I was sure.  Not very creative or inspiring, I know.

I waved a pregnancy test in his face and said, "SEE?? I told you I was pregnant and those other tests were wrong!"  I'd been testing for several days with negative results and DH kept assuring me that we'd try the next month and I kept telling him that I was pregnant.

1.  Gave him an early Father's Day card from DD.

2.  Late at night, after I'd known all day I told him in bed.

3.  He asked why I wasn't drinking and I told him it was because he knocked me up.  We plan to put DS in a "middle child" shirt to tel lthe family in October.

For me, I couldn't imagine keeping it a secret from my husband. Even for a minute.

With our first, I found out during the day.  My husband had a social function with work and didn't get home until later.  And he was by no means wasted, but he was a little giggly.   I was annoyed because I refused to have the big "Guess what" moment clouded by alcohol.  So I waited until he got home from work the NEXT day to tell him.  And even then, he had worked late.  So I guess I can imagine keeping it a secret from my husband.
