Is there a difference between regular applesauce and baby food applesauce? I'm assuming the baby food kind is more smooth but is regular ok to give to babies too?
Only thing I can think of is texture. This is a good thought though for when we start solids, I eat the all natural stuff myself, so it'd be nice to just feed her the same.
I used regular natural applesauce from the beginning without a problem. Ditto everyone else on reading the ingredients to make sure it's just apples and water. Also, many have ascorbic acid, which according to www.wholesomebabyfoods.com is perfectly fine (and even organic ones have it usually). Maybe jarred baby food applesauce is thinner... I have no idea since I've never used a jar of babyfood in my life. DD did just fine on the regular stuff.
