the nursery furniture and bedding? I think I have found both but know its kinda early...did you look around and wait a little before buying or did you just buy it up right away?

Re: When did you buy...
I didn't even buy maternity clothes until I was out of my 1st trimester (a mistake, btw, since it was hard to find Winter/Spring stuff once I was ready) because I was worried about miscarrying or chromosomal disorders. So I never even LOOKED at nursery furniture until after I was 20 weeks.
I ordered mine late, however. I'd suggest to do so around 22 weeks at the latest if it take 8-12 weeks to be delivered. If the furniture is a stock item, you can wait a bit longer if you want.

I have no style, so ds#1 got a couple of second-hand dressers and a change table from the local consignment shop. We bought the crib when I was 34 weeks pregnant, and that was only because I had a total meltdown and kept crying that we were unfit parent since the baby didn't even have a bed. Dh bundled me into the car, drove us to a local baby supply place (I think it might have been buy buy baby), and we left with a crib in a box and a bedding set. Good thing, too - ds wound up being three weeks early. so the set had been up for 2 weeks when he arrived.
For this one, we're planning to buy a change table/dresser and a chair, that's it. And we'll probably shop in January (due in March). I don't think it matters when you buy, although I would avoid shopping until after then end of first tri, when the miscarriage rate drops.
I';m just not very good at putting together nurseries. If I was better, I'd probably be planning right now. If you've found something you love, then I think you should buy it. But if it's something they always carry, then you might want to wait and see if they have a sale at some point - at 7 weeks, you have the time!
The funny thing about that is that all our younger friends (who have now finished having their kids) are giving us some wonderful things.
Two weeks ago we got a beautiful crib from our best friends because they no longer need it and a glider rocker that matches our baby room. In addition, they gave us a stuffed rocking horse that makes the cutest little running and neighing sounds.
In return I gave her two cases of my carefully chosen (and now unable to drink) wines to enjoy all summer and fall. Seemed like an appropriate trade lol.
If this keeps up, we will need to buy very few things as most of our friends have toddlers and preschoolers now.
In answer to your question, we have just started buying some stuff for our baby. I have picked out a couple sets of bedding, but I won't buy them until October because I have my sons college tuition to pay next month and this month DD needed her school clothes.
I would wait. What you think you want now might not be what you want in 3-4 months.
We also waited to be more sure things were going to be fine. Now that I am past 20 weeks, we will be buying soon.
I'm a bad, bad mommy. Our kid will be spending his/her first months in a bassinet in our bedroom and/or in the guest room. A hand-me-down bassinet from our neighbors, in fact, but it's practically brand new.
I don't plan to have a dedicated baby's room right away. Kid doesn't need decor and all sorts of fancy stuff.. just a crib that we'll put into the guest room. I plan to use the spare bed for nursing and changing, rather than buying a special changing table. Might shop for a glider soon, but I have an antique rocking chair that will probably be sturdy enough for the early going.
I just can't give up having a guest bedroom yet for when my mom, SIL and others come to visit. The kid will get evicted for a while during those periods anyway.
Oh... another factor to consider.
If you buy stuff too early and change your mind or something's wrong with it, good luck getting places like BRU to take it back without a huge fight. My friend bought a crib very early in her pregnancy.. put the box down in the basement for months, then when they opened it up, it wasn't right. BRU was a huge hassle.
