Stalker update

So the police officer called when I was on the way home, and he said because there was no crime in progress, I should come to the precinct and file my report.  He was AWESOME.  When I pressed stalker charges years ago, the stalking laws were new on the books.  It was a very difficult road.  But now, with the emails and the previous calls that I have reported, and the tightening of the laws, it's a new World.  The officer said he's not sure if I can get a protective order or not, but I'm gonna try like hell.  The one I had only lasted the duration of his probation.  I'm going to push for one that's permanent.  That way, if stalkerass shows up, he will be arrested.  Right now if he shows I've got nothing.

While I was standing there, talking to the lieutenant, my BBerry buzzed and stalkerasshole had sent me a new email.  In his earlier email he had written "he looks like you".  I suppose he realized his mistake and wrote "should be she not he > Delilah".  Lovely. 

I may be making an AE...

So now I wait for the detective to call me.

Um, this creeps me out. I'm so sorry for you. I hope this guy gets what he deserves.

Janimal, I'm sorry you are going through this!! I'm not sure what the whole story is, but I was stalked when I was a teenager and it was so awful!!

Wow, I'm just catching up on your previous posts and that is CRAZY!!!  I can't imagine having that hanging over me.  I hope the police you talked to today will actually do something to help.  Stay safe.

I'm glad you're finally getting the help you deserve from the cops.

Not that its any better - but hopefully he knows what DD looks like from online pics and not IRL.

Just catching up too and I'm sorry you're going through this.  At least you have some sort of piece of mind that the police can do more nowadays, right?  Creepy creepy!

I'm so glad they are taking it seriously, and I hope you are able to get a permanent restraining order.

Also, I definitely believe an AE is in order. I would also seriously consider pulling down my fb and/or myspace. You're right that you can't really hide, but you can make it as difficult for him as possible. You've got that sweet baby to think of, and it makes me sick for you to think he knows what she looks like. Good luck.

My guess is he has seen my FB profile, and that's how he has Delilah's name and seen her pic. 

Yep, my online world is going on "lockdown" right now.  Bye bye Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. 

He knows where I am, where I work, but it's not as if that's tough info anyway.  I am so glad we have a dog - because I know he is scared of dogs.  He got his arm ripped up by a police K9 when he ran from the coppers years ago.  Yeah, he's a real peach.
