Catholics - Baptism Question - gift to Priest

We are having DS baptized on Sunday. I am going to give the Priest a TY card with a check inside. Would you:

a) Write the check out to the Parish?

b) Write the check out to the Priest?

    We gave ours a gift card to a local brewery that he loves. It was $50.

    To the parish.

    If you want to give the priest a gift, maybe some muffins or brownies or something.

    I am not Catholic, but many Christians baptize.  I would give check to Parish.  If he accepts cash, himself, totally unethical.  And, he probably knows he should not accept.  If you want to give him a gift, maybe make him cookies or something.

    We gave a check as an extra offering directly to our Parish and also a card with a smaller check to our Priest. I do not think the Priest expects to be compensated, but it is a nice gesture. We received a lovely note thanking us afterwards, so we know it was appreciated.
