(Long...just blabbering!)
Wow. I can't believe it's here! My cousin is due to deliver my niece and nephew on Tuesday. I'm so estatic, every time I think about holding them and meeting them, my eyes well up with tears. I know I'm going to be a blubbering mess, which is kind of cool since I'm not usually that emotional!
I really think it will be an amazing time for us. It will be her mom and I with her. Of course her husband will be there also, and I honestly don't mean to sound bad here, but he's from a different culture where the men just show up the next day to meet the new baby. So I don't really have any idea how he will be through the labor. I'm pretty sure the main support will be her mom and I. And, I have to be the buffer with her mom (my aunt, like a 2nd mom to me) because she has a tendancy to get nurses and doctors kicked out of rooms if she doesn't like what is going on! ha!
My aunt is my Godmother, and these twins will be my Godchildren. Pretty cool!
This weekend I'll put together all of the things you all suggested for me to have for her. I also have the coming home outfits to iron. She goes in on Monday night so they can start softening her cervix, and then they start the pitocin on Tuesday morning. I'll be there Monday night and come back first things Tuesday morning. I do hope she can delivery vaginally!
I'll be sure to post my version of her birth story and pictures!
Ok, thanks for reading, if you did...
ETA: I forgot to add, she went through the first trimester bleeding. We though she was losing them every day almost! But each u/s confirmed they were still there and healthy. I was shocked at that time just how much I already loved them! Anyway, I just can't believe after all the drama at the beginning, she made it through!
