Gagging

Ok so I know I might be lynched for admitting lol but I haven't had morning sickness yet only occasional nausea and in the morning I sometimes gag but after I brush my teeth I'm good. Well the other night I had a fun dry heaving session in the toilet then today I have been gagging at everything! The smell of stuff, just getting up and walking around but I'm not really nauseous. My question is does anyone think this is the start of my m/s or it's just gagging? Did anyone have this and if you did, did it turn into m/s or just stay the same. Just curious Thanks!!

Re: Gagging

  • Yeah, could just be the begining! I didn't have anything until 6 weeks then bam! nauseated all the time and lots of gagging. Although I never threw up I definitely came close a few times.

  • Hopefully you will be spared from the miserable world of morning sickness, but that is how it started for me at 6 weeks.  I now gag randomly and vomit on a regular basis.  Good luck to you....maybe it won't get any worse for you.  I've read there are some lucky ladies out there who dodge the m/s.

  • I'm sorry, but that's how mine started :( Hang in there!
  • I had this too and no morning sickness. Just a warning...mine came back during 3rd tri.

  • Well, I had this before, during, and towards the end of my morning sickness stage in my 1st trimester.  So, it's hard to say if you'll be spared the morning sickness or which will be worse for you.  Good luck!

  • My gagging started about 6.5 weeks and I was fully vomitile (my own phrase) by 7.5 weeks... it continues to today... though now I seem to be reverting back to gagging more than barfing... so glad things seem to be slowing down!

  • This is me on a regular basis. It just started and it is awful! GL!
  • I started the gaggin at 6w but never turned into vomiting.  I noticed the gagging happened when I waited too long to eat.  If I eat a few crackers before I get out of bed it helps eliminate the gagging attack.  I have been finding it hard to determine when I am actually hungry so eating very small snacks through the day really helps.
