somebody go fetch me a bag of potatoes.

I want a baked one. but the two bags I have already don't look as fresh asI want them to be..I mean, Im not throwing them away, because maybe the hubs will eat them, but I want a fresh one.

I will soak it in salt water for a half hour, then I will bake it in the oven at 400 degrees for exactly 60 minutes.

now go!

I already went to the store once today with two kids, not going again.

or AM i?

Re: somebody go fetch me a bag of potatoes.

  • just duct tape them to the wall and make a quick run to the store ... j/k lol (brings back memories when my ex-dh and I duct taped my 7 yr old to the wall as a joke.  We all wanted to see if the duct tape would hold him up ... it did lol)

is soaking them in salt water the trick to really good tasting baked tators?

  • Kris- you have no idea! DO IT! It is absolutely the trick. You scrub them first, then poke them with a fork, then mix hot hot water with a bunch of salt, and soak them, then oven at 400 for 60 minutes ( sometimes 70 if there are more than 3 and they are large...

they turn out so crispy and yummy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside...oh boy.

I am practically ready to start preparing a substandard potato....
