Pumping one side while feeding the other question

I was thinking of doing this in the morning.  Do I have to do it while nursing?  Or can I nurse DS and then pump the other boob?  I realize this is a stupid question.  He's been not wanting to switch lately, just eats for 15 minutes on one boob.

I do it at the same time; that way DD is preoccupied while I am pumping.  Doing it at the same time, you (I) get a really good amount because the let down is natural, I never get the same large amount (4-5oz) when the pump causes me to let down.

You can do either. I nurse DS first b/c he and I can sleep while he nurses and then we "talk" while I pump in bed. Well, mostly he lays there and talks and smiles at the ceiling fan, but you get my drift
