Hi There,

Saw your post below about your visit to the MFM.  Do you mind sharing the name of your doctor and the hospital that he's at?

I'm in MA too and had a 29 weeker (also named Katie by the way!) due to HELLP last year.  I ended up at Brigham Women's and will likely go back there for #2, but I don't have an MFM picked out.

    It's Dr. McElrath at Brigham and Women's.

    Wow - thank you!  Dr. McElrath was the on-call doc when i was first admitted to the Brigham.  I ended up lasting a few more days and he was no longer on call by the time I delivered, but my experience with him was all really positive.

     The other MFM I'm considering is Kathy Economy - two other MFM's have told me that she has a strong interest in HELLP.


    Please keep me posted and I'll do the same!

    Dr Economy delivered my daughter and I loved her.  I also had Hellp and was very interested in the vitamin D link as I was diagnosed with osteopenia (precuser of osteoperosis after breaking my foot in 5 places last year)
