NGPR: Spider in my microwave :-(

Ooohhhh I am deathly afraid of spiders. We're talking massive phobia here. I think I saw the movie Arachnaphobia when I was too young.

Anyhoot, last night, I went to warm up something in the microwave and as soon as the microwave turned on, and the light came on, I saw this huge spider right in front of my face on the glass. Of course I screamed bloody murder and yelled for DH. He came in and was going to kill it, until he realized the spider wasnt on the outside, nor on the inside, of the microwave. Somehow, it got in between the glass panes on the microwave door. UGH. I dont know how on earth it got in there, or how we will get it out.

I will never look at a microwave the same...esp. not mine.

Any tips on how to remove this rodent from the microwave!?!?!

This microwave is pretty new. :-( Im about to call GE and make them come out and replace my door.

Ick! I don't know what you would do...Maybe call the manufacturer and see if they can talk your husband through taking the door apart??

I would probably fry the little sucker! I'm not one of those girls who's afraid of bugs (that being said, there was a spider about the size of a quarter that crawled out of my shirt armpit area a couple weeks ago at work and I screamed pretty darn loud!)

DH thought of keeping the microwave on and frying it to death. I LOVED the idea of it being dead, but not the idea of having a dead spider in our microwave that cant be removed.

That is super creepy, I watched that movie super young too and I had to double check the sink and tub openings for the longest time.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that! To this day, every time I take a shower, I am scared spiders will come out of the drain hole. DH totally thinks there is something wrong with me...Im starting to agree.

It's not a rodent... but it's funny to think about it.

My dad made me watch arachnophobia when I was little too. I didn't want to take a shower for months. I hate that movie & I am terrified of spiders.
