TTC after 35

Good morning AF......grrrrrrrrrr

11 DPO...so close.....but no cigar........

Scheduling my HSG today.

I'm feeling much better after taking heavy duty antiobiotics for UTI, but now I feel a yeast infection might be coming on......lovely.  I think I'll wait before using monistat since RE prescribed more antiobiotics for HSG.  Think it's okay to get HSG done with suspected yeast infection?  I'll ask when I make appointment.

Re: Good morning AF......grrrrrrrrrr

  • Sorry to hear about AF.  She sucks.

I am wondering about the YI and HSG.  My gut feeling is that they will want it to clear up first, since the equipment they use will essentially carry whatever infection from the entrance area, upwards.

Just my guess though.  Good luck!

  • Sorry about AF.  Grrrrr is right.

Did you tell the RE you are already on antibiotics?  They may not want you to take another round if you just finished them.  I agree with CC.  I don't think they would want to do the HSG if you have a yeast infection, but maybe I am wrong.  Also, if you start on the 3 day monistat now, the YI will probably be gone by the time of the HSG.

    Good luck!

  • AF, you sucketh!

    Sorry, Bklyn.

I'd guess they will want the YI cleared up first, but you probably have time for that to happen.

  • Booo. Sorry to hear about AF. :(

Not really sure about the infection, though.

  • I would think they would likely want to wait till infection is gone. Good luck

  • I despise AF...

I doubt that they will want to do the HSG until the YI is cleared up.  Infection is not a friend to the HSG.  I feel your pain, though.  Although I rarely take antiobiotics, I usually get a raging YI.  Ask your doc about the Rx Diflucan.  It's just one pill that quickly clears it up.  I think there's a generic and it's quite inexpensive...regardless it's worth it.

    Good luck with everything.

    AF is such a wench...

  • Sorry about AF.  Eat some yogurt to help with the YI too... (along with the PP suggestions)  I would think they would want that cleared up first...
