OMG! Frustrated right now

I was finally able to talk to someone at the OB's office.  Apparently the lab said they never got my paperwork for my urinalysis so they just tossed my specimen.  The OB is going mail a copy of the orders for me and I have to go pee in a cup in the worlds tiniest bathroom and somehow keep DS from touching anything again while doing it.  I gave all my paperwork to the phlebotomist and I watched her put my paperwork with my bloodwork and urine.  I am beyond peeved right now.  I have no idea which I have.  And UTI's left untreated I know can turn into kidney infections and if it's a kidney infection already is just an unpleasant thought.  Which means that I am going to be cutting it close on finding out results of the work before I leave for DH's graduation.  I already have a nasty cold in development that I've had since Saturday.  This just aggravates me.  This is the biggest lab in the country.  And the OB is associated with a huge teaching hospital in the area. Thbpt on them both!  Angry

  • OMG - I'd be beyond peeved!  I'm so sorry.  They better rush the results since you could be getting sicker all the time.

  • Could you just go get a sterile specimen jar and pee at home?  I'd be all over that if it'd make it easier for you.

  • This is not nearly as detrimental, but I actually got a call a week after my last labs and my specimens (blood and urine) were left in the fridge over the weekend and no longer usable.  seriously? you forgot my stuff in the fridge door? super annoying.  I hope you can get some answers and treatment soon!

I think for any future ones I will definitely do that if allowed to.  If the office is empty tomorrow I'm leaving DS right outside the door since it's a small office.  I just don't want to keep driving all over creation for labs.
