Itchy Stretch Marks

Does anyone else have insanely itchy stretch marks?  Mine were not bad until about 3 days ago and since then they have been itching like crazy!!  I had a dr appt yesterday and she said they were pretty inflamed and that I could use some hydrocortisone to help with the itching.  That is helping a little bit but not completely.  I am wondering if this is common.  As far as I can tell, it is not PUPPS as I've Googled what that looks like.  Anyone have any other suggestions??

  • benadryl anti itch cream has worked pretty well for me.  I know everyone is different, but I had about a week and a half where the itching was unbearable, and then it calmed down, so maybe it will be short term for you as well!

  • My belly has been super-itchy this week too.  I am just lotioning up a couple of times a day.  I will ask my Dr. about this itchiness at my next appt.

  • the palmer's cocoa butter spray oil is for itchy skin and that usually helps me instantly when i actually go use it lol..  sometimes i just sit there n itch and be lazy tho
  • I've been putting Palmer's Cocoa Butter on 2-3 times a day....ugh....I hope this ends soon!!
  • I had an itchy belly really bad too for a while - to the point it was making me crazy.  My dr. suggested taking a Clariton once a day and it totally worked.  Took a day or two to get into my system and really work but I haven't had a problem since!  I had tried constant lotioning, hydrocortizone creams, caldryl, etc and nothing else worked.  I'd say it's worth asking your Dr. if you can take it - the relief was amazing!  :)
