I have a couple places bookmarked on etsy but I realized they were just made of birdseye so we use some cheap flat diapers made of birdseye. Cheaper than getting them when marketed as unpaper towels. Oh and we just fold them up and keep them in our towel drawer in the kitchen
I thought it was a little ridiculous to pay that much for a towel too, so we actually got microfiber clothes from the Target auto section. They are white and grey with range trim. I think they were like $7.99 for 12. We use the white ones for cleaning/dusting. The grey ones are for floors (they seem to get little spinters in them for some odd reason).
I've tried microfiber and I don't like the way it feels. I have no storage space in my kitchen and no space in drawers (I only have 3 drawers total) so I was thinking about getting something that can sit on the counter.
I'm not sure when I'm hoping to get this...right now I'm just looking for ideas.
We use wash cloths from walmart that were like $1 each or something and came in packs of 5 or so. They are super absorbant. Our kitchen is green and cream so I got some of each and have them rolled up and setting in a basket on the counter. It works for us. We hardly use paper towels now. I still use them when I fry things,
The LC who taught my BFing class told me to just buy a bunch of washcloths for burp rags, wipes, etc and so I did. I bought 3-12 packs at Kohls for about 5$ each. They came in lots of different colors and have stayed thick and fluffy. I used to darkest colored ones for his bottom. The light ones for burp and general cleaning.I rolled them up and keep in various containers around the house.
A basket in this room, a drawer in another. What looked really cute in the kitchen was keeping them in an antique colander but I considered using an wire egg basket.
We bought microfiber at Target for around $5 for 4 and they look cute - I usually have two hanging on my stove. We also use floursack towels and other misc. things...either in a towel drawer or hanging on hooks in the kitchen. When they get dirty, we just put new ones out and throw the dirties in the wash.
