Sometimes I don't think I deserve DH ....

Sometimes the man surprises me to to end.....especially after i've been such a bi!ch to him this past week. I think he's finally figured out that i'm stressed to no end because i'm supposed to go back to work on Monday.

It started last week when I woke up at 4am with this massive chest pain, could not breathe and felt like someone was stomping with all their force on my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack, so I took an aspirin and woke up DH and we gathered munchkin to bring to MIL's house....after gathering everything for about 15-20 minutes, I started feeling better and against my better judgement and against DH's advice, I decided to stay home, but promised him that if it happened again we would go to the ER.

Went to doc today to get a yearly physical and told him about the chest pain from last week. Doc did an EKG, turned out abnormal (murmur, slow HB and irregular HB), so now i'm scheduled for an ecocardiogram (lovely huh?). So I called DH and he is now majorly stressed out, I told him that there was no need 2B until I get the "real" results back and then we could worry if we needed to (sometimes I need to listen to my own advice - LOL)

Anywho, DH comes home today and says to me, "Why don't you stay home for the next few months, we'll struggle, but we can manage and we will." Huh ?? wait?? what ?? Did he really say that ?? I'm pleased to no extent, but he is right, we will struggle severely and until I find out the results of the eco on Friday I can't really make any decisions. But in my heart, I know I want to stay home (sigh). God I love him so!

oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about all that you're going through, but so happy to hear what a supportive hubby you have. I'm sure you're freaking out right now, but try to stay calm - we'll all be thinking about you!

I hope evrything works out for you. Your DH is a good man & he is right, you should stay home. Can't you go on disability too? Definitely look into that, you have a legit excuse with the doctors results.

Take care of yourself because you can't take care of baby & DH unless you are oK.

Thanks ladies for all your kind words, you're all so very sweet. I'm kinda numb right now and just tired from it all. One good thing did come out of this, we made an apt with our lawyer to make our wills and put things in order ... I definitely don't want to be a downer, but we have a son now and we need to be prepared for the unthinkable. I'll keep you all updated after my Friday apt.

Bea.. don't know if this helps... but my sister was diagnosed with a heart murmur after her second kid. She doesn't know if it's always been there or not. But it was a huge shocker to her, too.

Good news.. it has not made any significant change in her life.
