My furniture just came in (well everything but the 5 drawer tall dresser). The changing table is a short long dresser. I'm not really sure what to put on top to keep within arms reach (besides the obvious). But I'm not really sure what to put in the drawers? Should I put newborn and 0-3 clothes? Or receiving blankets, sheets, etc? Before, I was planning on putting all the clothes in the tall dresser, but I'm not sure!
How are you guys arranging stuff in your nursery?
Re: How are you organizing your changing table?
my dresser has blankets, small onesies, and extra diapers.
I have a shelf with all the cloth diapers right next to the dresser though
Basket on top: Cloth wipes and spray bottle of homemade wipe spray, along w/ other california baby products
Top drawer: cloth diapers and covers
middle: plain/undershirt type onesies
tiny drawer to the side: socks, hats, etc
Big cubby to the side (empty right now, no idea what to put in there)
bottom drawer: can't remember - possibly nothing right now,.
We don't have things set up for this baby yet.
Our dresser is a changing table combo thing that is taller on the right side with a drawer and a 2 shelf cabinet, and then three drawers on the left side and that is where the changing pad goes.
So for DS, we always had socks and other accessories in the top big drawer. In the second drawer were onesies, t-shirts, and things like that. In the bottom were sleepers and pajamas. All outfits were hung in the closet. On the right side of the dresser we had creams and baby accessories (nail clippers, etc) in the top drawer and diapers and wipes were stored in the cabinet. We also had a little storage thing to go on top of the right side that held about 15 diapers and then cream and things on the side and a place for a wipe container on top of it. I love that thing.
We filled DS's closet with those plastic storage drawers you can get anywhere and that's where everything extra went. Bibs, burp cloths, blanket, and MUCH more. I think we had about 8 of those 3-4 drawer storage containers.
