We took DD to McDonalds this weekend, we needed lunch and were in a hurry (we go to McDs maybe 1-2x a month). She had white milk, chicken nuggets, and apples.
It made me think about how people act like fast food is the root of all evil. OK, so grilled chicken would have been better, but it doesn't seem like that awful of a lunch to me? Am I missing something?
Re: ? about the evil 'fast food'
It's really not THAT bad, in the grand scheme of things. I know my kids have had it with their grandparents, but it's not something I'm going to get them. I like to pretend they haven't had it, but knowing they have hasn't killed my soul...yet.

Obviously if parents are chosing that for a dauly meal, yes, it may be an issue later for the kid but once in a while isn't going to kill them.
I love when someone at work told me "when my kid is out wiwth us, they eat regular food, never nuggets or mac n cheese or those things from the menu" I was like, well EFFIN fabulous for you. My kid does.
I cook for her just about 5 days a week after work, on the weekends, we eat crap. Well mostly crap, we eat out a lot.
I don't think nuggets, milk, and apples are the problem.
I think Big Macs, fries, and lots of soda is the problem. The nuggets get kids hooked, then they get older and want the stuff that's really bad for you.

Oh, I don't think the nuggets are better than the burger, that is just what DD picks. Not sure why, she loves burgers at home?
