Pregnant after 35

Hi new!

Hi everyone, New here. Just found out yesterday!  First little bump!

Nervous about the labor, pregnancy etc.  Can someone tells me that after you are showing and have a bump that is visible... it someone gets calmer?

Re: Hi new!

  • First trimester is always a little nerve-wracking. You'll be fine. Don't be nervous about labor (fretting about it won't help one bit!) H&H 9 months!

  • Welcome and Congratulations. The 1st Trimester was the most nerve wracking time of my life. Believe it or not, it really does get better- sometime around 10 weeks for me.
  • Welcome and congrats!
  • Welcome and congratulations.  I'm 39 and this is our first.  When I got my BFP I was simultaneously terrified and thrilled.  What worked for DH and I was to set little milestones so that the big picture didn't seem so huge.  First doctor appt, first heartbeat, first u/s, end of first trimester and so on.  It pretty much broke my pregnancy into little packets that were so much easier for us to absorb.  I won't lie and say I still don't have my mini freakouts, but yes it does get easier on your nerves as you move along.

  • Welcome and congrats!

I was relieved after hitting the 2nd trimester, but still found stuff to worry about throughout the entire pregnancy. But then, I'm a worrier.

  • hi and congrats!  happy and healthy 9 months to you!  i don't think it even gets easier now that we are parents, right?  that just comes with the territory.  just try to relax and enjoy as much as you can.  it's an amazing time.

  • Welcome and congrats on your BFP!  1st trimester was definitely a stressful, worrisome time, but I've found that there is always something to worry about.  The best advice I got was to just enjoy it and realize that other than take care of yourself, there is nothing you can really do one way or another.  Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!
