I know a lot of you aren't at this stage yet, but I'm hoping to at least get some opinions. Currently DS is about 29/30 lbs. He is starting to potty train, but I have a feeling its going to be a long process. He's ready, he just does really well sometimes and other times he's more than happy to wear a diaper.
So he's outgrown all of his OS diapers. I can get him in a OS Coolababy I have and then other than that all we have left that fits him is a L Fuzzi Buns and then a Happy Heiny OS and 2 Swaddlebees OS, but the elastic is blown on them so I won't put them on him if I know he may poo. They are in pretty bad shape (bought used in EUC....haha, yeah right!) so I don't want to fix them. But he won't wear trainers, just takes them off and runs around the house and pee or poos. And even if he did wear them, they seem to do nothing, so he might as well just run around naked. So basically he's been in sposies most of the time.
SO, should I spend the money on some larger size diapers, I'm guessing size L Fuzzi Buns since they are the only ones that have a little more room. Or should I just keep him in the sposies or Pull-Ups or something? I just can't really come up with a good solution, but I also don't want to make his potty training a longer endavor by putting him back in diapers/sposies/Pull Ups, ya know?
Re: What should I do?
Does he do okay with undies? If so, maybe take a peek at the Ditto Daddy trainers available on HC (Covered Caboose has them, I think). They are sewn very much like regular boxer-briefs, so maybe he'd like them?
I have the pattern for these, I just haven't sewn any yet (on the list of things I want to do in my "spare" time...lol).
Some undies with a nice absorbent layer sounds like a great idea to me. That's actually what I'll do with DD and wish I had done with DS.
I would avoid doing the pull-ups. I did it with DS and it was awful. It took him a year to potty train and I really think that was the cause. They were too much like diapers and he just didn't have to use the potty if he didn't want to.
If you need them at night, just for protection, maybe, but I'd still probably just buy a few CDs that would work. You'd have less money in it anyhow.

If you do that, maybe buy them a little big (though I think they run a little big anyhow) and add a layer (or more) to the center for some absorbency.
