Stretchmarks

Has anyone started to get stretchmarks?  I am waiting to get them any minute.  I am only 6 months but my belly is so tight it feels like its going to rip.  Is there anything that I can be rubbing on my belly to help maybe not get them as bad.  Thanks for the help!  Hope you ladies have a good evening!  Wink

Re: Stretchmarks

  • Those beauties have already made a small appearance on my belly. They started as tiny little dots around 14 weeks, and just keep on crawling up. Lovely.

  • Yep, I have them.  Mostly on the sides of my belly and one right above my belly button. I use Palmers Stretch Mark Cream, but honestly, I don't know how great it's working.
  • I got my first belly stretchmark this week. I think I'll name it sparky.

The ones on my hips that are already there have gotten the red dot a the top that shows they are growing. blah.

  • With my first LO i started rubbing Palmers all over at about two months. I believed that if i started doing it early it would help prevent them, and to my belief it did. I also would rub baby oil on in the shower, which i would be very careful with and i got good results.GL
  • so weirdly enough i have them on my boobs (hate to even think about it) and none on my belly yet, thankfully. i use palmers cocoa butter everyday after the shower and thats it - lets hope it keeps working!!

fyi though... my doc gave me a sample of a lavendar scented oil called Belli that apparently actually works. take that for what its worth, but it did come from the doc so who knows? it smells great!

  • I started getting them about three weeks ago and now they are fairly out of control. Oh well what can you do?

  • Not yet, but my mom and my sister both got them when pregnant and I have some light/small ones from losing/gaining weight so I know it's coming!

  • I have some on my boobs. I think they appeared around 16ish weeks. I use Burt Bees Belly Butter on my belly.
  • I got three that made their first appearance this week.    I think bio-oil I use is helping keep my belly moisturized and not feel as itchy.
  • I got them Friday, and they hurt like HELL! Everyone I've talked to says they aren't supposed to hurt, but they do. Believe me. OW. My doc told me I could use 1% hydrocortisone cream, so I guess I will add that to my new routine of vitamin E oil and cocoa butter applications. I don't want to get any more in case the rest are as painful

  • i have them. not on my stomach. not on my boobs. but on my thighs!!!! and the other day I noticed them creeping up my booty. Embarrassed its not very cute at all.

I've heard they are hereditary...but while I was pregnant w/ my DS I only got 3 on the sides of my hip. What gives.
