More on pre-e/HELLP Symposium - registration linked, hopefully!

So, smfinallymg posted a link to registration for something DIFFERENT, though related.  That is a Gala going on the same weekend as the symposium.

I don't know if this will work, but I've uploaded the PDF of the registration/flyer.  Linking it like this has worked before, but that was a lonnng time ago when the bump was the nest.  Try it:

Also, the email from the Executive Director that included the flyer said this:

P.S.  We are considering audio-taping the presentations, but would need to
secure a sponsor to cover those costs. If you are able to help in that
effort, please contact event chair Jamie Schmidt at jimmy-james@charter.net.

So, those of you who can't attend, you might get in touch with Jamie Schmidt and find out how much sponsorship is needed - and whether you could pool enough money to have it recorded and get the recordings, if you're interested.

I'm not a fantastic note-taker, and I think I'll have my ears open for somewhat different information from most attendees, but I'll gladly share with anyone interested any notes I end up taking.

Hey what is HELLP syndrome?  Is it the same as Pre-E?  Just been curious...

Francisca!  Omigosh - congrats on TWINS!  And 4 weeks in the hospital?  LAME!  Doing bedrest on the couch is lame enough...can't imagine being cooped up in the hospital.  Plus, the several nights I spent, the hospital always had things beeping and hissing and all that when I was trying to sleep.  And people coming in and waking me up.  Blech!

 

Anyway, here's a link from Wikipedia.  I'm sure preeclampsia.org would have better info...but I have a handy dandy Wikipedia search thingamabobber and don't have to go digging...

Thanks sweetie!  There were a set of twins who passed away and the mom had HELLP... I've always been curious.

Yeah it really sucks... I just keep thinking "cute babies cute babies cute babies" over and over again.  I'm excited about the twins, it should be really wonderful.  Needless to say this is our family's finale
