We just went to the doctor's,, fluid is low and the placenta is ageing, she says baby needs to come out, I am 90% effaced and 1cm and having random contractions but she wants me to go to the hospital now to start cervidil. Bleh. I am so bummed that this is how it's turning out, I really wanted to labor at home and have a natural birth and now I feel like I am going to be stuck on the medication express. Obviously the most important thing is baby, and I want nothing more that for her to be safe and health so here we go, off the hospital.

I totally understand why you would feel disappointed, I am hoping for natural as well.  Even so, just because you have some interventions going in, doesn't mean you won't have a memorable, valid experience!  Plus the BABY's coming, how cool is that?  I'm looking forward to hearing your story!

I hear you. I'm facing the same thing. I have an appointment tomorrow where induction will be discussed. My dreams of laboring at home and in a birthing pool are seeming more and more like it's not going to happen. But, like you said, the baby's health is the most important thing.

I understand your disappointment but am glad your doctor is taking good care of you and LO. Try not to stress about it not going as planned. From what I hear, childbirth rarely does.

Sunny, I'm sorry it's not what you hoped for but I'm glad your doctor is taking such good care of you both.  You'll have your baby SOON!!!
