I had a few minutes (Calloway's down for a nap) and thought I'd drop in and see how everyone was doing. Any Cupid's Cuties BFPs lately? Kiddos doing crazy awesome things? Any fun drama?
I miss you girls, hope you're doing well!
Calloway has FINALLY started walking and is adding new words to the vocab every day. I feel like I'm as big as a house, ha. Ari is VERY active - much more active than I remember Calloway being. It's crazy to think that he'll be here in November!
Re: Hi Mommas! :)
Hey! it's so great to "see" you. Congrats on another little boy!!
Hiiii!
No BFP for me. I am a SAHM now, so that's kind of exciting. This is my second week. I was voluntarily laid off and will be home with him until next April, or so. Ben is such a ham. He makes us laugh every day with his new antics.
How's C doing? You ready to do this all over again?
And congrats on your baby girl! I bet you all are soooo excited. Have any names picked out yet?
Ooo, SAHM! Are you loving it? How's that transition going? Ben's such a handsome little man, I love his curls!
C's a mess.
I look at him and can't believe how big he's gotten and how he's turned into this awesome little person. He loves on my belly all the time, but has no idea what's going on. I think that his world will be turned upside down in Nov. I've had the pleasure of hanging out with a few friends with new babies lately and every time, my heart gets all fluttery ... I can't wait to meet this baby! I'm not as anxious/scared/freaked out this time, which is awesome. Planning an unmedicated birth as best I can and reading all kinds of awesome, empowering literature to prepare.
Thanks! That pic is actually a month old already, I need to update it. His hair has gotten even curlier since then.
Yes, I'm loving it so far. It really didn't seem like there was any bit of transition, which was good. We joined a mom's group and I'm making plans with one of the moms there and a few other SAHM friends. And tomorrow, we're going out with my mom and sister. So, we're staying busy. If we had to sit here and stare at each other all day, I'd go bonkers.
I bet C is so big (and cute)! Yeah, I'm sure he doesn't fully get it. He may be out of sorts at first, but I'm sure he'll be just fine. I hope you can have the unmedicated birth you want. Have you read Ina May Gaskin's book? If not, I highly recommend it. I found it very empowering.
Please be sure to come back once Ari arrives and show us pics!
LOL! I feel ya on the staying at home thing. DH & I shared a car up until May-ish, so I was trapped a lot. It's so nice having the freedom to get out and do stuff now! Keep busy, Momma!
I read Ina May's Guide and now I'm reading Spiritual Midwifery. I was joking with a friend that you know it's a good book when the birth stories use slang terms for genitalia and often refer to the experience as 'getting high'.
It makes me want to go give birth at The Farm!
I can't imagine being trapped at home. I would go BSC. I'm glad you got another car.
Yeah, I really emjoyed Ina May's book. Although, it did get a bit granola crunchy even for me at times. DH and I took HypnoBirthing classes and I loved them!
