humor me: how long for your amnio results?

I am climbing.the.walls. waiting for ours. I know that it totally has no bearing on how quickly we'll hear, but just so I feel better for whatever reason, how long did it take you to get your results?

When I had my amnio - I opted to get the FISH (sp?) results which basically was just the chromosone count and I got that in 48 hours, the rest of the tests came back in I think 12 days?

I didn't have one but I remember my sister got hers back in 10 days (8 business days).

I think it was 7-10 days.  Good luck and try not to worry......

Would you believe that right after I posted that, the nurse called?! Everything is normal, and we are definitely having a girl!! I cannot tell you how relieved I am!!!!

The waiting *truly* is the hardest part!!!

I got FISH results back within 24 hrs which was reassuring but I was not that worked up after that b/c we had good numbers behind us. Complete amnio results was 11-12 days. I took the test as reassurance - I'm a worrier.

Mine took, and I kid you not, almost a month.  I'm in Quebec, though, and they also made me deliver my own amniotic fluid to the lab.  By bus. 

I hope yours is quicker!

Test on FRI, report written and faxed for verbal results 10 days later [the next MON].  Not a bad wait.

Congrats on a healthy baby girl.  I got my final results back today... 13 days after the Amnio...but the preliminary came back in 48hrs. I understand how much relief you have right now. Bests!
