Aunt Flo came this weekend and we went to the RE today.. they did bloodwork/ultrasound and are putting me on BCP.. I got the packet of information that essentially explains everything and I even have an appointment for our IVF orientation.... I'm soooo excited! scared to death, too... but it's nice to have a course of action... finally!
Re: Exciting News...
So what is the course of action then? I guess I'm confused as to why the BCP if you're TTC...but I know that it's a complicated situation so it's a little different.
Glad things are moving!
You take BCP in preparation for an IVF cycle.
TTC #1 Cycle 14 - IUI#1=BFN, IUI#2=BFP | TTC #2 Cycle 8=BFP!!

Good to know!
I start taking BCP tonight.. it's ironic that we are TTC but are given BCP but they do that to prep you for IVF... we were given a packet of information to read through and consent forms to sign.. DH and I will go through that together tonight...
our IVF orientation is on August 11th.. (next Tuesday) so we will find out more information then regarding what medication/injections to take and when... my RE will bring up my case to the board of RE's later today.. and the 4 doctors will agree upon my individual protocol.. they do that for all their IVF patients
How exciting! I'm glad things are moving along and hope all goes well
Tales of the Wife
thanks ladies for all your kind words!
I just called my health insurance to see what exactly they covered regarding IVF and they said they cover 100% minus the $30 copay with no limits on cycles..... I feel so blessed to have this job/health insurance right now!
NO FREAKING JOKE! That is AMAZING infertility coverage!!!
We have really, really fantastic insurance.... and they pay only for drugs in relation to infertility.
Oh wow - that is truly fantastic! It sounds like everything is finally going your way - now for that BFP!
That is AH-MAY-ZING!
I have goosebumps reading this thread. Major babydust for you, Mar!
I second the PP's that is amazing! I am seriously so excited for you! That is so great!

Congratulations!!! We had some IF issues of our own, so I know how good it feels when you have a plan. And you have such great health insurance - the IVF process / TTC process can be stressful enough, you're so fortunate that you don't have to add monetary worries to that list of stresses.
I'm curious what protocal they'll pick for you! Had we gone that route (we didn't end up needing to), they would have done IVF w/ICSI for us and released two embryos.
Good luck and keep us updated.
