2nd Trimester

Pre-Registration Appointment

So, tomorrow I go to the hospital to fill out all of the paperwork for pre-admission. My hospital has you do this so there is less to do when the time comes to deliver. It says there are 19 pages of paperwork to fill out and expect it to alst 45 minutes. DH doesnt have to go-that stinks!! Anyone else doing this?

Re: Pre-Registration Appointment

  • You have to do this at my hospital too, but you can do the bulk of it online and just stop by admissions to sign a few things, which I usually do before or after and ultrasound.

  • My hospital offers this. My Dr. releases their paperwork and sends it to the hospital when you preregister at 35 weeks.

A friend of my husband really recomends this, it saves a lot of headache when you get there in labor and the last thing you want to worry about is going through a stack of legalese.

  • My hospital allows you to do it onlineBig Smile

  • our doctor's office gave us a pre-reg form @ our first appointment, which was filled out and sent in by mail.  i dont think we were able to do it online b/c i had to include a copy of our insurance card.
  • At my 8-week appointment, they gave us our pre-registration packet to fill out and mail in (which I still have not done, at 24 weeks. I suck.), then they release all of my records to the hospital at a certain point in the pregnancy. I don't remember how many weeks. I have to include copies of my insurance card and everything.
  • Had to do this with DD and when I had my D&C at the same hospital.  Pre-registration for procedures you know you will have is a great thing.  Saves lots of time the day of.

But insurance just switched hospitals and I don't know what the policy is for the new hospital.  I hope I can pre-register again.

  • We got the packet with all the paperwork when we went on the tour. Then took it home with us and could drop it off or mail it in. You could also do it online, but were told that some of the pages were missing from the online registration.

  • We only had like 2 pages to fill out and we just mailed it in - it took all of 15 mins, if that.
