I have to set the record straight on "lightening crotch"

This term is being used incorrectly on this board.

Stabbing pains in the pelvis are is NOT L. crotch. That would be round ligament pain. It does happen earlier than most books would tell you, especially when you sneeze, cough, or move suddenly. However, it is not going to happen 3 days after implantation. RLP occurs because the two major ligaments that hold your ute in place are stretching due to growth. The uterus has not really grown much in the first few days, definitely not enough to cause those liggies to stretch.

Lightening crotch is entirely different. This is a not-so-fun sensation where it feels like you have shooting pains from your cervix down THROUGH your vag. As in, inside it. I didn't get this until I was post-20 weeks, sitting in rush hour traffic 4th of July weekend. Running into a McDonald's in the Bronx, needing to pee, and experiencing lightening crotch= very memorable, and not very fun.

No lightning crotch here yet, but I've sure had some round ligament pain... quite often actually, when standing up quickly.

Thank you! I remember the lightening crotch well from my first pregnancy and have never experienced such a sensation while not pregnant. I was confused in the referrence to it prepregnancy.

I've never been pregnant, but I've had sharp stabbing pains from my uterus/cervix down through my vagina.  Whether that is the same as "lightning crotch" I don't know, hopefully someday I'll find out.

I stated the symptoms and the pg ladies gave me the name. I know it was not mentioned until I stated I was experiencing it. Pretty sure it wasn't made up in my head though.

I find this funny coming from someone who has been here for months, spend most of that time picking on and talking about people on and off the board but hasn't learned about CM.  As much as you've told people to lurk, doesn't seem like you've done enough of that yourself except so you can say something snippy.  You trash people on the board then go back and ask them details when you realize you are wrong.  hmm I'll take the fishing anyday.

you guys don't have anything to apologize for.  Since Lightening crotch isn't the medical term i'm pretty sure you can use it how ever you damn well please.

If what I did is considered fishing then I should have been flamed with the rest of them. I honestly thought that I had this weird thing going on, and asked the ladies that I thought may have experienced it. This is only my 3rd cycle off of BCP and each cycle new symptoms pop up so I asked.

How exactly did you want them to handle it? I love how this is also addressed days after with none of the people that posted in that post.

Moo-please. My not knowing the green tea would produce enough CM to soak through my underwear means nothing. Yes, I have been on this board for months, but most of those months were with problems that prevented me from really trying. I never looked into increasing my CM cause I didn't need to.And lets not get into making fun of people on the board. At least I have the balls to confront people as myself, not some lame asss AE. Yet another thing people can get away with if they're a precious regular. Get over yourself.

you're right, I was fortunate that I developed relationships with people who didn't care.  And if you recall I came clean so that you and the rest of the PD's weren't blamed for it.  I made peace with the person that I had offended if you still have a problem that's on you.
