What is the BRAT diet?

I saw it referenced in Phish's post below...but this is the first I have heard of it...what is it? TIA.

    Good to know. Thanks ladies! I still have so much to learn before we start solids....

    FYI, the BRAT diet isn't just for kids--adults should follow it too if they have had stomach flu, food poisoning, etc., too.  Just in case that wasn't clear.
