There is an Alice Cooper concert just down the street from me tonight at an open air concert venue. My mom got free tickets on Friday to go. Neither of us are huge fans or anything but it sounds like it would be a really fun concert (Alice Cooper being more about the show anyway).
Things to think about: Parking could be a hike because the quarry where it's at has limited parking. We have seats but no one sits at a concert so we'll be standing awhile. I'm rather pregnant and my mother is 58 (just considering the walking and standing). My son is still being a beast going to bed in his new bed and I'd be leaving dh alone to do it tonight. We'd be skipping the opening act and getting there late.
Just imagine the humorous picture that we'll make if we do go!
Re: Random Clicky Poll: Would you go?
I voted "heck no" because the potential for you to overdo is way too great. You need to take care of yourself. It's too early to do something that could potentially cause you to suffer for the rest of your pregnancy.
Perhaps you and your mom could just go out for ice cream together instead of the concert?
I voted with the majority (maybe for someone else).
Just wanted to add that I've had TWO Alice Cooper sightings on his concert days--one in Detroit and one in NYC. The first time, I was a senior in high school and in a car full of my girlfriends driving through downtown Detroit. We were acting crazy and motioning to a limo to roll its windows down. Well, Cooper did and stuck his tongue out at us, still in full makeup and regalia. It was hilarious. The second time was more pedestrian (truly): I was walking down Broadway, past the theater his bus was parked outside of, in the middle of the afternoon. I watched him walk out of the bus. Apparently he's fairly easy to see!
I tend to not take it easy at all! I'm the photographer at a wedding in 3 weeks and that's like running a marathon!
See!? Then you should go. It will be like preparation. lol
