what do you store your cd detergent in? I make my own but it gets moisture in it and clumps up after a while...I would like to try your recipe but that's alot to have sitting there and I don't want it to all harden up on me and me not be able to use it. any suggestions?

Re: **poonico**
I've had the same batch since October and it's just now starting to do that too me. I leave it uncovered though. I think when I make my next batch I'll keep it stored in something w/ a lid and just keep out a quart or so at a time. I make huge batches though.
BTW, when mine just started to clump, I just used a letter openener to break it back up. No biggie
A butter knife or screwdriver would do the trick too.
I'm almost done w/ mine too. I just need to make a new batch. I keep forgetting to buy the ingredients.

:::butting in here:::
Try a food grade 5 gallon bucket. You can get them free from bakeries at grocery stores and Wal-Mart. Sometimes you have to call a couple of times because they say that they reuse them (and they do for a while), but they don't keep ALL of them!! It's what their icing comes in. Ask for the lid, too. The lid is a PITB to get on and off, but you can buy screw on lids online for about $5 I think. I'll try to find the link. That's what I make my double batch of liquid laundry detergent in. Good luck!! HTH!!
I just use it on my CDs. I use to add Fels Naptha to half of the mix, but I broke my food processor and haven't had the funds to sink into a new one.
Once it ran out, I bought Tide (w/out the dyes, etc.)
