Wow, twin mattresses are expensive

Any recommendations anyone? I'm thinking I'm not likely to get any cheaper than Ikea?

We just bought one today and paid close to 300 for the set.  I thought that was alot, but it was the cheapest one we saw! It is a Serta.

Not sure how much the ones from IKEA are, but we bought an "Avanti" from Ashley furniture for $99.

Including the box spring?  Man I think we really should have gone to more than 4 stores today then!

Do you have a Big Lots? They usually are pretty cheap.

We didn't buy a box spring because it's for a bunk bed. Not sure how much it is with the box spring. LOL I didn't even think about the box spring when I answered the question. GL!

I like the bedding systems from IKEA a lot - they do it the European way without a box spring. That's really good for people with allergies/excema.

We got her mattress slat support there. but her mattress was a full size organic latex mattres OUCH in the $$ department but oh so comfortable and good for her extremely sensitive skin.

I got just a twin mattress from Costco for $149, I think the set with the box spring is around $300 there though...
